Boraginaceae is family of plants found throughout the world. With over 2,500 species and approximately 150 genera, Boraginaceae is one of the larger families of angiosperms. Despite its size, and its readily diagnosed characters -- a scorpioid cyme, gynobasic style, and nutlets -- the family remains understudied. The goal of this website is to compile information about Boraginaceae, ranging from keys and species descriptions to images and current research.
